NEWS The first graders had a wonderful time celebrating the 100th day of school. The second graders had new activities(that they hadn’t done last year) to do when they joined the first graders in the afternoon. The highlight of the celebration of course is the balloon stomp. They had so much fun popping 100 balloons. Thanks Mrs. Pontynen and the 7th and 8th graders for blowing them all up. We ended our four day study by shaking ice cream in a mini pitcher 100 times to make a milk shake. It was great! Now we are getting ready for Lutheran Schools Week. Please come over and see all the art work and writing on Tues. evening. In Science we are studying living things and their habitats. Its amazing to see how God makes everything work together and there is a purpose for all creatures. We’ve studied a pond food chain. Social Studies class has us learning about our responsibility to vote and make wise choices. We are learning about the three branches of government. It is a great time to be talking about this now with all of the elections going on. In Religion class we have finished studying about a number of miracles that Jesus performed. Come see us during Lutheran Schools Week! Mrs. Rumbold |
