SPECIAL REQUESTS:  For all the youth and chaperones attending the National Youth Gathering.  For Stephanie Dahl, grand-daughter of Elsie Radl who is dealing with cancer.  For Ella Pamplin, Irene Hebblewhite, and Rita Dexter recovering from falls. For Charlotte Manteufel, wife of Rev. Julius Manteufel, who is recovering from surgery.  For Alan, Bill, Bob, Jeffrey, Jessica, Jo Ann, Kensi,  Lauri, Mary, Nancy, Roberta, Vicky and Wayne friends and relatives of members dealing with cancer or other serious illnesses. For those out of work or suffering through financial hardships.  For family members in  the military --  Shane Bartelt, Brian Busby, Doug Draeger, Sonja Kerrigan Ludwig,  Kenneth Madura,  Ben Mosness, and Ryan Witzke.

ALTAR FLOWERS:  The flowers on the altar this week are given to the glory of God by Marylou Hunter in loving memory her brother, Paul A. Levy. 

CALL PROCESS:  The call committee has been meeting and ask for your help.  We are following the District guidelines for calling a pastor.  In your July Voice of Trinity you will find several yellow pages regarding the call process including a questionnaire asking for congregational input for calling a new pastor.  We ask that you read over the pages and complete the questionnaire.  Enclosed with the Voice of Trinity is an envelope for your completed questionnaire.  You may mail it back to us or put it in the collection box provided in the narthex.  Your input is important to the call process.  Please have your responses back to the church office by August 1.  Thank you. 

TIME OUT!  Have you had a chance to visit the former Mercy Medical Center Hospital now known as Bella Vista?  Would you like to visit Room 520, the Birthing Room, where perhaps your parent, you, your children or grandchildren were born?  Join your friends on Friday, July 23, 2010 and Take Time Out on a tour of the totally refurbished building at 631 Hazel Street.  Gather at 5:30 for dinner in the lovely dining room.  The hour tour will begin at approximately 6:30.  Call Jo Koch at 235-0282 for more information.  Deadline for reservations is noon on July 19.

LWML MITES: It is time to bring in your mites.  We will be collecting mites through July 18 at the LWML table in the narthex.  Mite boxes are used to collect money for missions.  25% of the Mite offerings is sent to International LWML for mission projects and the remaining 75% is used for our district's mission projects.  Mite money is used to further God's kingdom through the mission projects selected by delegates at district and international conventions.  Please pick up a mite box at the table and place it in a visible spot where you can deposit those extra coins. 

PASTOR'S RETIREMENT:  Invitations were mailed this week for Pastor Ahlborn's retirement party on August 29.  If you did not receive an invitation, contact the church office.  Please return your RSVP card and payment for your dinner reservations by mail or place it in the box in the narthex or the box on the Welcome Center.  Response deadline is August 9.
 
EXPERIENCE THE GATHERING!!  You have the opportunity to watch the Mass Events at this year's National Youth Gathering as they happen.  Mass Events will be streamed live at the following times: Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at 7:30 PM (CST) and Wednesday at 8:30 AM (CST) You will be able to find the live stream at www.lcms.org/NYG. PAINTERS NEEDED:  Dick Bartelt is organizing a crew of painters to do some touch up painting at the school.  If you are interested in donating a morning or afternoon to help with this project, please leave your name and phone number in the grey box by the office door or call the office at 235-7440.  Dick will contact you with more information.

HELPING HANDS:  A fund has been established for Trinity members who are in need of immediate emergency assistance under the guidelines of the Stewardship Board.  The need continues.  If you wish to contribute to this fund, donations should be specified to the "Helping Hands Fund."  Anyone who requires assistance may contact Donna Butzlaff at 426-1682 or the church office.

Bring Scrip to your next BBQ.  Remember to grab a Scrip grocery card when you are having your summer cookout.  We have gift cards for Festival Foods $50, Piggly Wiggly $25/$50/$100, Pick 'n Save $25/$50 and WalMart $25/$100.

Last weeks sales were $2,740.00 with a profit of $79.20.  Thank you to the 14 families that ordered SCRIP. 

Summer Hours:  Yes, Scrip is available over the summer!! Beginning June 7th, Scrip will be available Monday - Friday at the church office.  Scrip cards will still be available before and after the Sunday service and before and after the Thursday night service.  Just bring your check book or
pay with cash.

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL:  This summer we are offering Summer Sunday School in the lower level classrooms.  The sessions will be from 10:15 to 11:00 a.m.. Bring the kids and have them check out what is happening in Summer Sunday School.  Pastor Ahlborn is also offering a short Bible Study each week in the fellowship hall.  Please join us. 

GOOD SAMARITAN PANTRY:  Thank you to all who continue to support our food pantry with food and monetary donations.  At this time the pantry could use Jell-o and pudding, canned fruit, and cereal.  Remember that any frozen food donation needs to be made during church office hours.
 
OVER THE TOP!  A "Women of Faith" event will be held this October in Milwaukee.  The conference is filled with some great speakers, music and plenty of time for women to get together to enrich their faith.  The dates for the event are Friday, October 1 and Saturday, October 2.  Hope Church in Fond du Lac has reserved a block of 100 excellent seats.  These tickets will be discounted $10.00 from the regular registration fee. CAMP LuWiSoMo: We have received a letter from Camp LuWiSoMo.  They are happy to announce that they will be holding their annual Family Fun Weekend, August, 13-15.  See the website at www.Luwisocmo.org for information.   They will again be having their silent auction and are looking for donation of items for the fundraiser.  They are looking for items like quilts, afghans, woodworking projects, ceramics, leather and metalwork, and other new items or services which could be used in the auction.  Items may be sent to Gail Mieden, E7237 South Oak Crest Drive, Reedsburg, WI 53959. NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH:  The Stevens Park Neighborhood Association has some news to share.  A community garden is starting near the parking lot on Frankfort Street.  Ten 10 x 10 plots can be used for your garden.  Each plot is $10.00.  Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to be added to map and handouts shared at every sale.  There will be a neighborhood watch meeting on the fourth Thursday of  every month at 6:00 p.m. at the Otter Street Fishing Club clubhouse, 1204 Ceape Avenue.  

CAN YOU HELP? Need to put some of your God given talents to work?  There are several areas in the church where you can do just that.  If you are interested in becoming part of the Altar Guild, please contact Janet Lemke at the church office.  If you want to become a greeter on Sunday mornings, please contact Sue Heasty at 235-8690.  Interested in being a lector during a Sunday service?  Please contact Jodie Skadahl at 420-9644 for more information.  Looking for something more "hands on"?  You are welcome to join some of our crafty people.  The Prayer Shawl Knitting group meets the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m., contact Ruth Buss at 233-2410 for information.  The Quilting group meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 8:30 a.m., contact Muriel Guy at 685-2277 for information.

MOVING?  If you are planning a move to a new home across town, or out of state, contact the church office with the new address prior to the move.  We strive to maintain updated and current information on each of our members and it will also avoid the cost of postage due on returned mail.  Please help us keep our records up to date.

DEADLINE:  The deadline for the August Voice of Trinity is Friday, July 23.  Please have your articles for the Voice to the church office no later than noon on that day.  Thank you for your cooperation.

BELLA MEDICAL CLINIC:  Labor of Love, Inc, has completed its conversion to a medical clinic and is now doing business as Bella Medical Clinic.  They opened the new clinic at the end of June and offer many services, including medical pregnancy testing and life-affirming ultrasound, parent and life skill training, baby items, consultation and referrals.  All services are confidential and provided to clients at no cost.  The clinic is located at 1484 W. South Park Avenue.  They can be reached at 231-6006.  This organization focuses on ministering to abortion-minded young women and helping them to choose life.  Donations are gladly accepted and greatly appreciated.  No gift is too small. Your gift is a gift of life now and eternally.

WE NEED YOUR HELP:  As you well know, we no longer have full time custodial help at the church.  We are asking that each group, society, board or others using the kitchen and/or Fellowship Hall be responsible for the disposal of their own garbage after their event.  Please tie garbage bags and take them to the dumpsters behind the church.  Reminder notices have been posted in the kitchen.  Please help us keep the kitchen clean and safe for all to use. 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  Affinity Visiting Nurses Hospice is in need of volunteers.  Volunteers are needed to sit with patients and provide companionship, help the caregivers and offer emotional support to patients and families.  Clerical support volunteers are needed to assist with clerical duties including labeling and assembly of mailings, assembly of charts and binders, filing, typing, data entry and shredding of confidential waste paper.  Contact Kristyna Torres at 920-727-2000 or email her at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. TICKETS ON SALE:  Tickets are now available for two special events at the Resch Center in Green Bay.  On October 28 - World Vision presents "Make a Difference Tour 2010" featuring Max Lucado, Toby Mac, Michael W. CAN YOU HELP?  Several people in the congregation have recently lost their jobs or are temporarily laid off.  If anyone knows of places who would be hiring at this time, please contact the church office.  Any leads would be appreciated.  Please keep members of the congregation who are struggling financially in your prayers. 

QUIET SANCTUARY: A reminder to keep pre-service socializing and activity in the area near the Welcome Center or the church narthex.   Members of the congregation who would like to begin and end their worship in quiet prayer and reflection would have the sanctuary available for this purpose.
                                                                                                                  
TEMPERATURE CONTROL: The air conditioning and fans have been set at a recommended temperature and speed.  We are asking for your cooperation in the operation of these units.  Adjustments made by people not familiar with the system are not good for the units nor are they an efficient way to use the system.  Remember to close the doors to the parking lot when you come in. Please leave the blinds on the side windows closed. They were installed during the last renovation to help keep the church cool during the summer months and help conserve on the air conditioning.  Help us save money and prevent wasted energy. Allow those who maintain the system to make all adjustments.  Thank you for your cooperation!  If you have questions please contact someone on the Board of Church Properties.

CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP:  Back by popular demand "Sunday Coffee Hour" will be held following the Worship Services throughout the summer.  Various groups and individuals will be sponsoring each Sunday.  A sign up sheet is available on the Welcome Center.  Join us for some fellowship each Sunday.  If you plan on attending Pastor's summer Bible Study, you are welcome to stop for some refreshments to take with you to the Fellowship Hall. 

Please remember to keep those men and women serving our country
in all branches of service in your prayers. 
They deserve our love, our hugs, and most powerfully, our prayers.
 Pray for strength, endurance and safety. 
The task ahead of them is never as great as the Power behind them.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED:  The floors in the lower level have been cleaned and waxed.  We ask for your cooperation in keeping the floors maintained.  Reasonable wear is expected but you can help keep the floors looking nice by taking some extra care when using the fellowship hall.   PLEASE do not drag the tables across the floor when rearranging for your event.  PLEASE wipe up your spills right away.  PLEASE do not use abrasive cleaners on the floor. When in doubt, please contact a member of the board of church properties. The moveable walls in the lower level fellowship hall need to be treated with care.  The walls are designed to be locked in position.  If the walls are not locked, they can be easily pushed to an improper position causing damage to the doors and the tracks.  If you do not know how to move the walls or lock them in place, PLEASE ask someone in the church office or on the board of church properties.
