WELCOME NEW MEMBERS! Nicole Sundquist will join Trinity during the Thursday evening worship service by Adult Confirmation.  Her daughter Paige is a student at Trinity school and will be joining Trinity along with her mother.  Meredith Paul joins us this week by Profession of Faith.  Welcome to the family at Trinity.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Do you know that Trinity has 23 members who are over 90 years old? Each month we congratulate members who have a birthday and have reached 90 years and more.  Please remember these people in your prayers and take the time to wish them a happy birthday.  Our July birthday is: Barbara Brand, July 29, 91 years.  Congratulations and Happy Birthday to you!

ATTENTION: The nursery is temporarily closed until it can be thoroughly cleaned.  PLEASE do not use the nursery until further notice.  You are welcome to take your child to the Walther room across from the Pastor’s office or the library area to the right of the elevator.

JOIN US! Do you like to be social?  Do you like sweets?  Well, we do.  Join us after the 9:00 a.m. service Sundays throughout the summer for juice, coffee and sweets.  Come and share a little conversation and some laughs before you head for home.  If you would like to serve for one of the open dates, please sign up at the welcome center.  This week’s social time is hosted by Esther Neyhard and Sharon Witzke.

WE’RE IN THE PARADE!! Trinity will once again be part of the July 4th parade in Oshkosh. The float will feature members of our praise band and anyone who wants to walk behind and hand out candy and Trinity mini frisbees is welcome to join us. We will be decorating the float in the school parking lot on July 3rd at 10:00 a.m.  and anyone who wants to lend a hand can join in. We will line up for the parade early on July 4th. The parade starts at 9:00 a.m. and our line up spot is in the parking lot behind the downtown post office. I am also looking for someone with a truck that can pull the float for the parade. If you would like to walk along please wear Trinity or July 4th apparel and meet at the line up spot around 9 a.m. If you have questions please call Joe Reinl at 235-1730.

PLEASE HELP US OUT: The floors in the lower level have been cleaned and waxed.  We ask for your cooperation in keeping the floors maintained.  Reasonable wear is expected but you can help keep the floors looking nice by taking some extra care when using the fellowship hall.   PLEASE do not drag the tables across the floor when rearranging for your event.  PLEASE wipe up your spills right away.  PLEASE do not use abrasive cleaners on the floor. When in doubt, please contact a member of the board of church properties. The moveable walls in the lower level fellowship hall need to be treated with care.  The walls are designed to be locked in position.  If the walls are not locked, they can be easily pushed to an improper position causing damage to the doors and the tracks.  If you do not know how to move the walls or lock them in place, PLEASE ask someone in the church office or on the board of church properties.

GOOD SAMARITAN PANTRY: The food pantry is an ongoing ministry of Trinity.  The need continues for the shelves to be filled.   The pantry can always use Jell-o and pudding, canned fruit and vegetables, peanut butter and jelly, soups, boxed meals, canned meats, pasta and sauce, soda crackers and cereal.  Remember that any frozen food donation needs to be made during church office hours. Thank you to all who continue to support our food pantry with food and monetary donations.

MISSING!! Our lawn maintenance workers have reported our weed trimmer is missing.  If you borrowed the trimmer, please return it to the church as soon as possible.  Items you wish to borrow from the church need to be requested at the church office before you remove them from the premises.  The church office checks with the Board of Church Properties before loaning equipment.

THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT: The last two weeks we have asked you to fill out an insert included in the bulletin and give us your choice of how you would like to receive the VOT.  Thank you to all who have taken the time to respond.  If you have not yet given us your choice, please fill out a form available in today’s bulletin.  We would like to have the new distribution in place with the September VOT.

HELPING HANDS: The Helping Hands fund was established for Trinity members who are in need of immediate emergency assistance.  The need for help is continuous.   If you wish to contribute to this fund, donations should be specified to the “Helping Hands Fund.”  If you require assistance contact Donna Butzlaff at 426-1682 or the church office.

MISSION REQUEST: Rev. Gui Kasongo, pastor of International Lutheran Church of Zion in Milwaukee, is going to return to his homeland, the Democratic Republic of Congo, on a six week mission trip beginning July 20.  He will be sharing the Bible and teaching from Luther’s Small Catechism in the French language.  Using the French Catechism is a very successful tool for him in teaching the truths of Scripture.  He would like to be able to give a free Catechism to a family or elder of each of the African congregations.  His goal is to distribute 1,000 copies.  He is asking for your help and your prayers.  A French Catechism is $8.00.  If you are interested in helping Pastor Kasongo reach his goal, please send a check made out to the International Lutheran Church of Zion/African mission’s support.  Mail to Zion at 5740 N. 86th Street, Milwaukee 53225-2800.  Let’s make it happen for the sake of those who are still locked in uncertainty and despair.

LCEF – EXPRSS YOUR JOYFUL RESPONSE: Providing a planned stewardship gift can give vital support and predictability for ministries.  Without these continuous gifts, they may not be able to reach out to help as many people as members would like.  Joyful Response® is a free service that reliably and safely transfers pre-authorized withdrawals from the bank account of your choice to that of the ministry.  For more information, contact Tim Dittloff at 800-793-3678.

SWD MISSIONS PRAYER CALENDAR: As our nation celebrates the freedom we so often take for granted, pray that our leaders and citizens recognize God’s supreme authority over all things.  Guide those in authority to maintain peace and the freedom to worship without fear of prosecution.

ADOPTION REUNION: On July 21st, Lutheran Counseling and Family Service of Wisconsin, will hold the Second Adoption Reunion for adults who were adopted as children through LCFS.  By doing this LCFS hopes to encourage friendships, promote discussion and receive feedback.  The event will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a catered meal served at 5:00 p.m. If you, or someone you know is interested, you can contact Diane Boheen at 800-291-4513 or email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .  The reunion will be hosted by St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 7750 N. Hwy 144, West Bend.

TRINITY DVD MINISTRY: Unable to attend church due to illness or for other good reasons?  Trinity worship services are televised weekly on Oshkosh Cable Channel 2.  Broadcasts are Monday at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. and Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

PLEASE HELP: Do not park along the grass at the end of the sidewalk at the east side of the lot and do not block the entry doors. Please keep this area free for emergency vehicles.  Be as courteous as possible and remember we need the best possible use of the space we have.

SEEKING ADOPTIVE PARENTS: Lutheran Counseling and Family Services is seeking adoptive parents for its domestic and international adoption programs.  Since the criteria differs for these two programs we’d simply welcome calls from new or experienced adoptive parent candidates who would like to expand their family through adoption.  Please call 800-291-4613 or email the LCFS adoption program at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. CARING COMPANION: Have you been discharged from the hospital or nursing home and wished you had someone to get supplies, groceries, prepare a meal or visit while you were trying to regain your independence?  The Caring Companion Volunteer Service of Mercy Medical Center offers all of this and more for a short period of time when you return home.  If you or someone you know needs this service or you are interested in becoming a Caring Companion volunteer please call Mercy Volunteer Services at 223-0225.  Mercy offers volunteer opportunities on patient units, escort services and other non-patient duties.  You may apply online at affinityhealth.org/volunteer.

QUIET SANCTUARY: A reminder to keep pre-service socializing and activity in the area near the Welcome Center or the church narthex.   Members of the congregation who would like to begin and end their worship in quiet prayer and reflection would have the sanctuary available for this purpose.

Please remember to keep those men and women serving our country

in all branches of service in your prayers.

They deserve our love, our hugs, and most powerfully, our prayers.

Pray for strength, endurance and safety.

The task ahead of them is never as great as the Power behind them.

Please take time for a short prayer for all our troops around the world.

Of all the gifts you can give those deployed in harm’s way, prayer is the very best!
